Death by Peppermint Oil
It was a lovely late summer day,and the sun was shining. I had opened the blind to my Foyer window and decided to raise it and let more light in. SHOCK!! A HUGE WASP NEST in the corner of the window!!
It was between the glass and storm window,but I am allergic and wasn't amused by the skill of those wasps or the size of the nest!
Essential oils to the rescue. I did a brief and quick research into Wasp and essential oils. PEPPERMINT was the oil to solve my problem.
I got my YL glass spray bottle out and mixed 1 tsp of dish soap,and 15 drops of YL Peppermint oil. (I used 10 thereafter) What can I say? I wanted them dead!
Filled the bottle with hot tap water and gently shook the bottle.
I then went to work.
I have old lead glass windows with the rope and weight pulley.So,there are gaps and holes where the ropes are run down the sides. That is were they had chosen to built their nest. (Shudder!)
I sprayed down the crack between the window frames and sides and they start dropping dead. A few on the outside flew off..I annihilated them later!
I did a few bottles making sure they were dead and the nest was soaked and empty.
Once that was done,I opened the window and with my broom dislodged the nest. It landed at the bottom, I raised the storm window and flicked it out. Dead wasp bodies were everywhere. I brushed them out of the windows also. A few remain to tell the tale of the Peppermint carnage!
I am so impressed,but not surprised by the results. So if you have wasps,ants,or vermin and you want rid of them. This is your answer. Make some up. Ants hate it,mice hate it,and Spiders abhor it. Wasps too. Do it,do it now! It is oh so satisfying! BAWAHAHAHAHA!!!
